Especially if it is a Ox day, we call the day Doyou-no-Ushi-no-hi, and most Japanese eat broiled eels as a custom.
This year, it is July 21st and August 2nd.

The dog days
It is in the middle of the highest temperature days in Japan.
We call it Doyou(the dog days).
Especially if it is a Ox day, we call the day Doyou-no-Ushi-no-hi, and most Japanese eat broiled eels as a custom.
