Ended Analog TV

Japanese analog TV broadcasting system has ended its transmitting on July 24th. (except for Fukushima, Miyagi and Iwate, where devastated by the 311 earthquake).

This means all Japanese broadcasting has changed to digital.

I was wondering a lot of trouble on that day but actually not much.

A day of new broadcasting.

  3. TV technology and audience interest has been changing rapidly! I'm thinking to get Netflix that allows us to watch movies and TV show (like DVD) in-stream using Wii, XBox, PlayStation, or PC.

As if hundreds of channels I'm getting through cable isn't enough ;-)

Is this kind of service popular in Japan, too?

  4. No, I don't think it's popular in Japan, although some are trying.
But it will change near future.
