Kagamimochi

Kagamimochi is a New Year's rice cake. 

People put them in a room and pray for family's health and long life.

    This is very interesting to know that your culture has this similar Chinese tradition to pray for the family's well being on the New Year's Day. The rice cake is so pretty and nice as offering, complete with fresh blooms of roses. I am sure the heavens are happy and will bless your family with abundance of good wishes!
